Former Ipswich Town forward Martyn Waghorn has joined League One side Northampton Town on a short-term deal.
The 34-year-old was without a club after he was released by Derby County at the end of last season after helping the Rams win promotion back to the Championship.
Waghorn now joins Jon Brady's side, who are currently 18th in the third tier after winning just four of their opening 13 league games.
He has already made his debut for the Cobblers as he came off the bench in their 2-1 shock home defeat to Kettering Town in the first round of the FA Cup.
His new manager said after signing him: "Martyn is a player with bags of experience and a lot of quality.
Looking forward to the challenge 🙌🏻💪🏻⚽️ https://t.co/d4I9LLfAWD

"He is another player who will be a good influence in the dressing room, we feel he is a good fit for us and what we need at this time and we are pleased to bring him in."
In total, Waghorn scored 16 goals in 46 games during his one season at Portman Road before leaving Town to join Derby in 2018.
He would make over 100 appearances for the Rams during his first spell at Pride Park, before signing for Coventry City in the summer of 2021.
The forward spent two seasons with the Sky Blues, while spending time on loan at Huddersfield in the second half of the 2022/23 season.
