Ipswich Town Women star Natasha Thomas has been called up to play for Jamaica.
The 28-year-old - who is the Tractor Girls' record appearance maker (217) and goalscorer (152) - is set to become the club's first senior women's international player. She qualifies to play for the 'Reggae Girlz' through her father's side of the family.
Jamaica's women's side is backed by Cedella Marley, the daughter of Bob Marley. They reached the last 16 of the 2023 World Cup in Australia, finishing above Brazil in the group stage before losing 1-0 to Colombia.
Ipswich host promotion rivals Hashtag United in a FA Women's National League Cup fixture, at Felixstowe, on Sunday (2pm).
Thomas will then link up with her new international team mates and could make her debut against France, at the Stade Auguste Bonal stadium, next Friday night.
