Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna says he has a near full squad to select from heading into Saturday's Premier League game at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Striker George Hirst has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in a pre-season game against Fortuna Dusseldorf, winger Wes Burns limped off in the season opener against Liverpool with a hamstring problem, while Omari Hutchinson was sent home from England U21 duty last week for 'medical assessment'.
"We've got a full group available," said McKenna. "All the boys have come back from the internationals well and we have our injuries back in and around the group now, so we're looking really healthy.
"Wes Burns and George Hirst both trained with the group this week, while Harry Clarke (Achilles surgery in May) joined in with the group for a little bit today for the first time."
Asked if Burns and Hirst could feature at The Amex Stadium, the Blues boss replied: "It's not impossible. They've trained with the group pretty much all week and are both ahead of schedule really. Both are feeling really good. Of course we'll make the right judgement not just for this weekend and won't take any unnecessary risks. But both, as it stands today, are available to be involved with the squad."
On Hutchinson, who has started all three Premier League games so far, McKenna said: "He had a tight hamstring after the Fulham game and didn't recover for 6/7 days after that, but in the latter stages of this week he's felt better and he's fully trained the last couple of days. Again, he'll be available."
Meanwhile, Nathan Broadhead isn’t too far away from returning to action too. The Welsh forward suffered a calf injury in the early stages of pre-season training.
"Nathan's trained this week as well," said McKenna. "It's fantastic to have him back with the quality he brings. He's been out for a little bit longer than the other two boys, so will possibly need a little bit more time to build up, but he's back full training."
