Sheehan and Addison react to Town 4-0 win over Norwich

Thanks to goals from Summer Hughes, Sophie Peskett, Natasha Thomas and Angela Addison, Town beat Norwich City 4-0 to be the first Town team to win in Norfolk since 2006.

Sheehan said: "We are obviously delighted to win here at Carrow Road.

"Four really good goals and we were pleased to win the game.

"We knew we would play a really disciplined, compact team and that was clear early on.

"They were quite content to defend in their half and frustrate us and it's so easy to get drawn into that.

"We had to remain patient, really composed, be really good with how we played and stay switched on."

Nearly 800 Town fans made the journey north of the border to watch the game tonight.

Sheehan added: "We spoke pre-match that we were representing a football club, a town, a county and supporters worldwide, whether they watched live, listened to it or checked updates.

"We felt we had a responsibility to win the game today for thousands of people that would love to see Ipswich beat Norwich at Carrow Road.

"We didn't want to let that opportunity pass us by and we wanted to deliver on that so I am pleased we were able to and the supporters were able to come along and sing and cheer and enjoy themselves and hopefully, we sent them home happy."

Winger Angela Addison scored Town's third of the evening, finishing off a fantastic Town move.

She said: "Obviously it was great to get my first goal for Ipswich against Norwich at their ground. I couldn't be happier.

"They had a game plan in the first half and it seemed to work for them but the more that game goes on, the more we grew into it."

Speaking on her goal, she said: "It was good to arrive late into the box. Joe and I go over clips and it was a good indication to be on the end of Peskett pull backs into the area."
