Ipswich Town: Fans react to Premier League fixtures

The Blues will start with a home clash against Liverpool in a televised game at 12.30pm on Saturday, August 17, followed by a trip to reigning champions Manchester City.

I’d rather have these 2 early on. No expectations. So if we lose, then morale won’t be affected, whereas if 2 lesser teams & we lose , the brain starts to tell you - ‘if we can’t beat them we are in trouble’. Plus, best time to get them with tired international players.

I genuinely think it's a good way to start. Liverpool will hopefully still be adjusting to the new manager style, plus not up to speed after Euros - same for Man City. If we get a point from the first 2 games, happy days. Then onto the wins vs Fulham & Brighton 😏

Hoping it’s two free hits. We wouldn’t expect anything from those two games but if we can manage to catch Liverpool cold on the first day it would be a huge boost. Can’t see us getting a sniff at City unfortunately.
