Brandon Williams has shared a message with Ipswich Town fans after his loan spell with the club.
The 23-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Portman Road from Manchester United, playing 17 games and scoring twice.
He started his time in Suffolk incredibly well, earning the starting right back spot, scoring a memorable goal against Preston and generally impressing fans.
But then his game time started to decrease from October onwards, with illness and injury affecting his availability.
He returned to United in January for a medical assessment and never made it back to Suffolk, playing his last game for Town in the 0-0 draw with QPR on December 29th.
Writing on Instagram, Williams said: "Ipswich Town it was a privilege to play for this club💙
"Thank you for all the support from everybody associated within the club and outside!
"Good luck next season I will be supporting. Uppa the Tractor Boys."
- Williams will stand trial next March after pleading not guilty to two driving offences.
Williams, of Harpurhey, Manchester, is accused of driving an Audi A3 S Line on the A34 Ainslie Way in Wilmslow in a dangerous manner on August 20, 2023.
He denied both dangerous driving and driving without third-party insurance when he appeared at Chester Crown Court on April 19.
