Traffic has cleared on the A14 after a two vehicle crash caused a lane to be closed near Sproughton.
Queues were backed up around 6.3 miles earlier this morning on the westbound side, with the congestion extending as the Wherstead Junction.
This was causing severe delays of up to 24 minutes for vehicles travelling in the westbound direction.
Highways England reported shortly before 10.30am all lanes had reopened between J54 and J53 but there was still nearly two miles of congestion on the approach.
Vehicles travelling in the eastbound direction were also affected, although these delays were not as substantial.
Suffolk police were called to the collision at 7.27am.
They report that two vehicles, a Volkswagen Golf and a Tesla were involved and that no one was injured.
In addition to this, slightly further up the road, they said that an articulated lorry had blown a tire, and is waiting for recovery.
