A union has vowed for "justice" after claiming four of its members were unfairly dismissed at the Port of Felixstowe last year.
Unite the Union claims the group, who have been dubbed the 'Felixstowe Four', took part in industrial action before being suspended, disciplined and dismissed by the port's owner, Hutchison Ports.
Now the four individuals are taking legal action against the company which could end in an employment tribunal.
Unite - which represents the group - is claiming they were unfairly dismissed and has launched a campaign to get the Felixstowe Four reinstated.
A spokesman for Unite said: "We are showing we will never give up on our members.
"This is designed to have a chilling effect on people taking part in industrial action.
"The union will do whatever it takes to get the Felixstowe Four the justice they deserve and we now call on Hutchison Ports to reinstate them."
Hutchison Ports was approached for comment but declined.
