A West End show based on a classic comedy sitcom is heading to Ipswich as part of its UK tour.
Set in a seaside hotel in Torquay, Fawlty Towers follows the rude Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) and his bossy wife Sybil (Prunella Scales) as they encounter a host of eccentric characters across two series.
The seventies show was written by Cleese who adapted the original episodes to bring the sitcom to life on the West End stage.
Following its sell-out success at the Apollo Theatre in London, the show is heading on a major UK and Ireland tour in 2025 and 2026.

It is coming to the Ipswich Regent Theatre from March 10, 2026 until March 14, 2026.
Cleese said: “When we came up with the idea of bringing Fawlty Towers to the stage, I never thought it would get the reception that it has.
"The announcement of the tour means many more people will now have the chance to laugh themselves helpless.”
Tickets for Fawlty Towers - The Play at the Ipswich Regent Theatre are on sale now starting from £15.
