A broken-down vehicle was causing long delays on the A14 near Ipswich.
Police were called to the westbound carriageway at Sproughton at about 8.10am on Monday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the van broke down in the left-hand lane of the carriageway.
According to the AA Traffic Map there was long delays in the area.
