Six days of delays can be expected in Ipswich after a fault on a low-voltage cable line. 

Suffolk Highways says emergency repairs are currently being carried out by UK Power Networks on Norwich Road near Clarkson Street.

They say a fault to a low-voltage cable on the underground electricity network has caused multiple homes to be affected.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place along the road until Monday, December 2 and additional work may be required for repairs in the area. 

A spokesman for UK power Networks said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will complete this work as quickly as possible."
