An Ipswich mechanic to the stars who built his business up from nothing has been honoured at a glitzy national award ceremony.
On Saturday night, the Leaders Magazine 2024 Awards were presented in London. Mark Beadsworth of Ipswich Alloy Wheels was amongst those who scooped an award.
Mr Beadsworth, who has previously shared his journey from growing up in Nacton, falling in with the ‘wrong crowd’ and leaving school with no qualifications, was named as being in the top 20 most inspiring business leaders in the UK for his creative management of multiple companies.
As well as running his garage in Greenwich Close, Mr Beadsworth also has his own line of scents, DB Fragrances, which he runs with his son, Dylan.
Taking to the stage on Saturday night was, said Mr Beadsworth, a very proud moment.
“It felt very special, being up there and receiving that award in such a beautiful place,” he said. “For me, this is the first big achievement I have actually made.
“It just goes to show, you can turn your life around.”
