A new match day parking fee of £15 will come into effect next week.

Signs have appeared in West End car park, near Portman Road, setting out the new price.

The tariff will be applied from three hours before kick off until an hour after full time and will come into effect from Tuesday, December 3.

The signs were spotted on Sunday, November 22, where the Tractor Boys held Manchester United to a draw at Portman Road in Ruben Amorim's first game in charge.

Ipswich Borough Council announced the changes to premium parking on match days back in September, saying that most premier league clubs have an average of £35 parking fee for close proximity car park.

At the time, no announcement had been made about when the new parking charges would come into effect.

The council announced that the rise in parking fee would apply to the three long stay car parks; Portman Road, West End and Princes Street car parks.
