An actor who hails from Ipswich rubbed shoulders with the stars after being invited as a VIP to the premiere of one of this year's biggest films.
Ricardo P Lloyd, 31, is rapidly making his mark as one of the UK's most exciting and promising talents.
Recently, Mr Lloyd attended the global London premiere of Gladiator 2, sharing the carpet with film stars Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal.
Among other VIP's invited to the premiere was King Charles III.
Mr Lloyd was recognised by GQ as one of the best-dressed stars of the evening.
Despite recently suffering setbacks such as losing his agent, Mr Lloyd has achieved acting credits on the BBC, performed alongside Sir Mark Rylance and secured high-profile partnerships such as his collaboration with Australian wine brand Hidden Sea Wine.
Mr Lloyd said: "I've faced a lot of obstacles in life and in this industry.
"Coming from where I do and being black, I know the odds aren't always in my favour.
"That only fuels my determination to be one of the best actors.
"Acting will always be my first love, but I'm also committed to fighting for change in the industry.
"I don't want others to face the same struggles I've endured."
His advocacy has made him a leading voice in the fight for diversity and inclusion.
In October this year, he hosted a major event in Birmingham focused on neurodiversity and representation in the industry.
He was awarded with the Nela Academy Award, a prestigious honour recognising his acting achievements and his contributions to social and cultural progress.
He continued: “I want to represent the underdog.
"I want people from where I’m from to grow with me and be inspired.
"Success isn’t just about fame—it’s about the courage to keep going."
