An Ipswich man has been convicted of stalking and making threats to kill a woman.
Piotr Krzeslak, of no fixed abode but of the Ipswich area, was convicted at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday, November 12.
The 40-year-old was accused of stalking the victim between January 13 and January 17 this year.
He approached the lone woman whilst she was walking to work in January, made sexual remarks to her and threatened to kill her.
Krzeslak also loitered around her home and at the restaurant where she works.
He was arrested and charged in early February this year.
The jury found him guilty of carrying out these acts.
DC Natalie Cole of Ipswich CID said: “Stalking is a serious and distressing crime which can escalate.
"I would like to commend the bravery of the victim who came forward to report their experience and hope this sentence will encourage other victims of stalking to report it.
"Be assured that we take stalking very seriously and urge you come and talk to us or a third party support group if you have concerns, as we can help.”
