A 55-year-old nurse has shared her delight at reaching her target weight in just seven months.
Michelle Hamilton joined Slimming World in January this year, but said initially she was unsure that it would work.
The Ipswich Hospital nurse said it was important to her to lose weight after recognising the ongoing weight problem in the UK through her work in the NHS.
A keen dancer who competes in various competitions, she was able to lose 20lbs within seven months.
The one stone and six pounds total was her dream target.
She has also been able to maintain that weight since having been supported by her group.
Due to the experience that she went through with Slimming World, she has decided that she wanted to train to become a consultant to offer the help and support she had to others, launching the group at Castle Hill URC Church in Dryden Road.
She said: "Joining Slimming World in January has literally changed my life. I would love to be able to do the same for others."
