From fresh tzatziki-filled gyros to fried chicken and bao bun galore, Ipswich and its surrounding area has so much to offer when it comes to street food.
And with not long to go until Ipswich's new food hall we take a look at the best street food spots in the town and the surrounding area.
Jus winging it
The award-winning wing business, Jus Winging, has been serving up their signature chicken The Lattice Barn pub in Ipswich since the end of March this year.
In September they won Best Buffalo Wing at the national competition, Wing Fest in Bristol, as well as also winning Best BBQ Wing at the event in 2023.
The menu also includes Korean Red Dragon wings and Thai Me A River, as well as a range of sides and spice levels.
Greek Stomach
2022 with the owner promising "simple, fresh and timeless" Greek food and he has not disappointed.
The Greek Stomach opened for the first time inOwned by Yoan Dimitrov, The Greek Stomach is open four days a week and the trailer can usually be found next to Barclays Bank.
Mr Dimitrov said: "When I moved to Ipswich, I noticed a massive lack of Mediterranean food. Nowadays, nobody has got time to cook, we live in a constant rush. People just get takeaways.
“We mostly use olive oil, vegetables, whole bread, yoghurt, feta cheese, halloumi cheese, chicken and pork in gyros and many more.”
St Nicholas Sandwich Shop
Opening in early 2023, St Nicholas Sandwich Shop has brought some mouth-watering creations to Ipswich.
Described as the 'Home of the focaccia sandwich', anyone wandering through town in search of the perfect lunch should look no further than here.
The menu offers an international range of sandwiches from Philly Steak to Caprese, as well as salad bowls with fresh ingredients, snacks and coffees.
Big Bro Bao
Based in Beach Street in Felixstowe Big Bro Bao offers a range of carefully crafted Gua- bao buns served with savoury meats, vegetables and sauces.
The business was recently announced as the first street food outlet opening in the new Tower Street Food Hall, which is set to be up and running before Christmas.
Big Bro Bao is run by classically trained chef and restauranteur Joey James alongside his brother Louis.
The Wok Wrap
Wok Wraps, created by Jamie Burgis, sits in Beach Street, Felixstowe, but started as a market stall in Bury St Edmunds.
Opening in December 2023, the business sold out every day within the first two weeks of opening with it's combination of crunchy chips, crispy onions, chicken, salad and sauce in a wrap.
The street food has also recently announced on social media that it will be opening a new location for its Chinese fusion wraps in Suffolk very soon.
