A bakery owner says she has been amazed at the support of customers new and old since moving to a new premises.

Zoe Hayman-Cox, the owner of Sweet William's Bakery has been in Dickens Road since the end of September and says she "still has work to do".

Sweet William's Bakery moved from it's previous location in Chantry Park after communication with the council broke down whilst discussions took place on renewing the lease.

Despite this, Mrs Hayman-Cox viewed the move as a positive one, and brought lots of opportunities.

The mother-of-two said: "I've already had a birthday party in here, we have had ceramics painting and a book club.

"I am also supporting Ipswich hospital baby bereavement group this year as well and we have had five cupcake classes in here as well.

Although the new premises is just under a mile away from the bowls club in Chantry Park, Mrs Hayman-Cox is finding that customers are not deterred by the extra distance.

She said: "Some have changed their walk to see me, or walking to me on their way home from work, they are adding me into their routine differently which is really nice.

"The one that I really value above almost anything else is that I do have a lot of support from people, and that people are willingly to speak up for me or share the page or products that I make."

According to Mrs Hayman-Cox, the standout best sellers in the new building are the chocolate crunch, but the old reliable like cheese scones and sausage pin wheels are still popular.
