A double gold medallist will be heading to Ipswich this week to inspire a new generation of sportsmen and women.
St Margaret's CofE Primary School is holding an event on Friday which will be led by gymnast and double Commonwealth champion Courtney Tulloch.
The 29-year-old is the first ever Briton to win gold in rings at the World Championship and has achieved gold silver and bronze medals over his career.
He has also won several gold, silver and bronze medals and has two skills named after him.
Benjamin Durrant, sports coach at the Ipswich primary school, said he hopes the children will be inspired when they meet the gymnast.
He said: "It would be great for the budding gymnasts, it's always good to meet someone like Courtney Tulloch in person and get to know about his story."
The event has been organised through Sports For Champions and give 60 per cent of funds raised to spend on resources to help the children.
The remaining 40 per cent of funds are given to professional athletes in need of support.
A special assembly is held with the athletes to show their medals and tell their stories.
The pupils will also then take part in a fitness circuit.
"We would love to give some money to Courtney to help with his travel around the world, which ensures that he can keep competing in these international events," the coach added.
"But on top of that, we also want to use some money to bring in new equipment to our school to help the children."
He said that there are many young people at the school who want to replicate what Tulloch has done and for that, they need upgraded equipment.
