With Halloween over for another year, Ipswich is embracing the festive season as the traditional Christmas lights have gone up around the town centre.
The town centre is being adorned with Christmas spirit, with lights and decorations stretching across the main high streets in the town.
The lights, which have been a regular sight in Ipswich during the festive period for a number of years, were seen being put up on Friday.
An archway has also been placed in Dial Lane which will soon be covered in fairly lights.
This signifies the start of the Christmas season in Ipswich, with details of the Christmas light switch-on event on the Cornhill having already been revealed, as well as road closures for the event.
Ahead of Christmas, shops are also getting ready, with the Calendar Club opening in the former Body Shop premises and Sense Aroma opening in Sailmakers. Both shops have opened temporarily for the festive season.
