A trapped pigeon was rescued by fire crews in Ipswich yesterday evening. 

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4.33pm on Thursday to reports of an animal caught in netting above Lloyds Bank on the Cornhill.

One engine from the nearby Princes Street attended the scene.

The bird was released and left was unharmed by the netting or the rescue. 

A stop time for the rescue was called shortly thereafter.
