Creative carvings have spiced up the windows in an Ipswich street in a bid to drive footfall in the area.
Shops in St Nicholas Street and St Peters Street took part in it's very first pumpkin trail, which allowed owners to put their skills the test and claim best design.
At least 28 pumpkins were involved in the trail, with all of the winter squashes sought from Akenham Hall Farm in Henley Road.
Cathy Frost, owner of Love One, said: "It's basically an idea we had to just drive footfall and remind people of where we are.
"As The Saints Community Interest Company, we bought a number of pumpkins and given them to any businesses on St Nicholas Street or St Peters Street who would like to carve one or two.
"It's just a bit of fun but would be good to make it a yearly thing."
A competition was held on October 31, with the mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Elango Elavalakan going to the street to judge the pumpkins and window displays on the street.
He said: "This is a really nice area of Ipswich and it is great to see all the shops come together to do something for Halloween.
"It's a really creative idea and some of the pumpkins have been very creative so it has been fun."
He judged all the shops along the streets who took part and the winner of the best window display was Kelly Will and the Frame Workshop in St Nicholas Street, with the best carved pumpkin award going to one of the Thomas Wolsey Pub pumpkins.
As well as the pumpkins, there were also sheets of paper for people to look at and take regarding recipes to make with their pumpkins after the day and what to do with the leftover pumpkins.
