A diversion route will be in place down West End Road, Chancery Road, Grafton Way, Bridge Street, Friars Road, Franciscan Way and Civic Drive.
Drivers have been warned of delays and advised to avoid the area if possible.
This comes after the road was also closed in August for the installation of a new manhole.
