A police cordon is in place in Ipswich town centre.
Officers are currently blocking off the alleyway in Hatton Court just off Tavern Street.
Police tape is in place on either side of the alleyway.
A forensics van was also spotted near to the scene.
The cordon is not affecting people using Tavern Street.
A spokesman for Suffolk police was unable to give any information in regards to the incident at this stage.
