All events have been saved at a 400 capacity live music venue in Ipswich after a "rollercoaster of a week".

The Music Room in Wykes Bishop Street in Ipswich will no longer close after the organisers and managers worked hard to save it.

On October 23, it was announced that The Music Room was going to shut with immediate effect, stating that they wouldn't be answering questions on the venue due to the closure being out of their control.

However, less than 48 hours later, all events have been saved and the venue is to remain open and continue as a live music venue.

In a statement on Facebook, it said: "After a rollercoaster of a week, I'm happy to say that all the events will be going ahead as originally planned at The Music Room apart from the two in November."

The Abrakadavra Tattoo Art Club Halloween Party on November 2, and Deadsoul Festival on November 9 will continue but the former will be at The Club and the latter at The Baths.

In December, the venue will reopen and continue to provide live entertainment to the people of Ipswich.
