Calls have been been made to review a pub's licence with a "matter of urgency" after three men were arrested over the weekend.

Suffolk Constabulary has submitted a premises licence review for The Waterlily Pub in St Helen's Street in Ipswich.

It follows the force's temporary enforcement action which closed the pub until Monday evening.

On Saturday, a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed with three men arrested at the premises.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, while a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

A 62-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Class B or C drugs.

All three were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being bailed. They are to return to police on January 17.

Suffolk Constabulary said that they had sent the licence review to Ipswich Borough Council as a "matter of urgency".

Representations for the licence review closes on November 4.
