A man has been arrested after police were called to an incident in Ipswich town centre.

Officers were called to Tavern Street in Ipswich at about 7pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said an arrest was made after a man was robbed of his bag.

The bag contained bank cards and a phone charger, the spokesman said.

The incident was separate to a call out to Dogs Head Street earlier in the afternoon.
