The boss of a long-established  IT company has promoted one of his employees to a top role.

Tim Goulding, founder and managing director of Ipswich Computers, has made business development manager Craig Starling - who has been an integral part of the team for the past six years - a director.

The company - based at Ashbocking Road, Henley, Ipswich, and employing 12 people - was started 26 years ago and has grown to become one of the largest IT providers in the region. Among its clients is Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

Craig becomes a director at a crucial time for the company as it looks to expand its reach.

The business has rejected ticketing systems in favour of direct relationships between clients and IT engineers, who also serve as account managers and offer face-to-face support.

Tim congratulated Craig on his promotion which reflected "his contributions to our company and his potential to drive us forward with new energy".

"His commitment to our clients, team, and values makes him the ideal person to help lead us as we continue to grow and innovate but without losing what we are all about," he said.

"I have every confidence that, in his new role, Craig will bring fresh energy and strategic insight that will enhance our business while keeping us true to the principles that have defined Ipswich Computers for over two decades."

Craig said under Tim's leadership the company had delivered exceptional results and built lasting relationships with clients.

"I am now ready to take on a greater role in helping the business grow, sharing our story with new clients, and working alongside Tim to further strengthen Ipswich Computers’ impact.

"I’m passionate about our mission and excited about the opportunity to contribute to our next chapter of success as a director."

The firm specialises in managed IT services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, data management, and hardware procurement.
