A service station in the south of Ipswich has applied to extend its store.
Bourne Bridge Service Station on Wherstead Road has submitted an application to Ipswich Borough Council to create a two-storey rear extension to the existing shop.
Harvest Energy, which runs the service station, is also seeking permission to install a new shopfront and relocate its existing signage.
If approved, the convenience store's area space will double, as developers plan to push the counters and toilets back to allow for more space for food and other amenities.
The hot food section will more than double in size, from 60 square metres to 125 square metres.
The same is true for any other food they would serve customers, with the service station extending this section to 68 square metres.
The service station used to be run by Shell until 2013 when the Surrey-based energy company Harvest Energy took over.
It has three petrol pumps on site and is placed right next to Bourne Bridge.
