A final date has been announced for roadworks to finish on a collapsed road in Babergh, after months of delays.
The Street, in Aldham, near Hadleigh, has been closed since November 2023 after the side of the road collapsed.
Investigations found the road could not be fixed quickly and a redesign and repair plan would need to take place.
It has now been revealed that this phase of work should be completed by Wednesday, October 16. The piling team will install the last remaining sheet piles for the road support structure, and then all work on The Street should be complete by the week ending October 25, almost a year after it closed.
There were aims to begin work in the summer, however birds nested in the leftover road, delaying works.
