The land owners of a retail park in Ipswich says there is "positive interest" in the empty units in the centre.

The empty units at the Rosehill Centre in Ipswich are generating interest from potential renters the East of England Co-op has said.

Two units are currently available for rent, the former Energie Fitness Gym, which closed in December last year, and the former Co-op store which closed in January this year.

Both units have been vacant since closing.

An East of England Co-op spokesperson said: "We're actively marketing our Rosehill units and are pleased to be working through the positive interest that they're generating."

The Rosehill Centre already has a number of stores including Aldi, British Heart Foundation, Greggs and Bargain Buys.

The Co-op also said it is "actively exploring opportunities" for the land behind the Rosehill Centre, just off Derby Road, which has been vacant since at least 2009.
