Proposals for a major new housing development in north Ipswich are to go before borough planners this week.
The plans are for 80 new homes on land off Mitford Close, with 30% to be affordable houses.
The proposals also include provision for parking, landscaping, garden and leisure areas and improvements to access.
Up to 24 of the new homes will be council houses, and the homes will be a mixture of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes, ranging from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom houses.
The planning committee is set to debate the plans on Wednesday October 16 and is being urged to grant outline planning permission subject to conditions.
One of the conditions includes completion of a legal agreement to secure financial contributions to local services including towards the secondary school, early years learning, library improvements and the NHS.
