A pizza store close to Ipswich's waterfont has applied for a license to sell alcohol.
Bella Napoli Express, in Pownall Road, has sent an application to Ipswich Borough Council to sell alcohol and provide late-night refreshments on their premises.
Under the license, late night refreshments refers to items sold after 11pm and if approved would see the business provide the refreshments from Monday to Saturday between 11pm and 12am.
Additionally, applicant Bayram Karabulut is also seeking permission to sell alcohol to be consumed on and off the premises from Saturday between noon and midnight, and from noon to 11pm on Sunday.
This would mean the store's opening hours are also extended as they are currently open from 12pm to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, and from 12pm to 11pm Thursday to Saturday.
Bella Napoli has been operating in Ipswich for more than 20 years, with their main dine-in store set up on Queen Street.
The Pownall Road-based express store began trading in 2010 and is found next to The Fat Olive Company.
Along with pizza they also sell other Italian dishes like pasta and calzones.
Residents have until October 31 to make representations to the licensing authority.
