Sports Direct has announced it is preparing to close down ahead of its move to the town's former BHS.
The retail giant is one of five shops to open in the Butter Market building, with Flannels, Sports Direct, GAME, USC and Evans Cycles set to open in the former clothes shop later this year.
It was announced in March this year that Frasers Group were going to move some of their biggest brands into BHS, which has been left vacant for a number of years.
The move from Carr Street will provide a bigger space for Sports Direct, with the five stores fitting into the 25,000 sq. ft space.
Work on the building to convert it has been ongoing since July this year when vans were spotted pitching up outside the premises and fencing it off.
The council most recently approved plans for the signage and new roller shutters to be installed, with the last thing left to do being getting the shop ready for the opening.
Flannels, a high-end retailer, will take up the majority of the ground floor, with fashion retailer USC taking up a section of the floor, as well as Sports Direct.
Sports Direct will also take up the majority of the first floor as well, with sections carved out to facilitate Evans Cycles and GAME.
Both Sports Direct and Flannels will have separate entrances, with signage for four of the five shops now visible outside the building.
Frasers Group confirmed the store will open later in the year, with the Sports Direct in Carr Street set to close next month.
