An Ipswich Indian restaurant has taken home a regional title at the National Takeaway Awards.

Eastern Spice, on Woodbridge Road, won the East Anglian Takeaway of the Year title at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2024.

The takeaway was nominated last year at the awards.

The ceremony was held on Sunday at the Royal Lancaster, in London and featured regional, national and skill specific awards.

She said: "I'm delighted to be part of ARTA 2024. The talent and passion of the chefs are truly inspiring, and it's an honour to celebrate such exceptional cuisine with this wonderful community."

The competition celebrates Pan-Asian cooking and partners with Cambridge Regional College to launch a specialised training programme in January 2025.
