An Ipswich business is gearing up to once again offer free footprint tattoos to help families that have experienced baby loss.

Last year's event organised by Lucky 13 Tattoo founders Paul Stansby and Jamie Hart saw more than 200 people queue up throughout the day for the small ink work.

The pair started the event as they wanted to support those that have experienced baby loss and spread awareness.

Mr Hart added: “There are a lot of us at Lucky 13 Tattoo Studio who have been affected by baby loss.

"When it comes to baby loss awareness week we want to show our support and give people a little symbolisation of it just to keep the memory alive.

"Everyone in our studio has been affected by loss, including myself, so it is something that's very close to our hearts.

"We just want to give everyone a little bit of hope and support and show that they are not alone."

During last year's event, the studio team ended up inking 237 tattoos throughout the day.

They stayed open for an extra hour and 30 minutes to ensure no one went away disappointed.

They were finishing a tattoo every ten minutes amongst the whole at the studio.

This year the business is hoping for even more people to come and get a tattoo, to spread awareness of the issue.

The owners of the Lucky 13 Tattoo Studio have also led the Be Lucky anti-knife crime campaign and installed more than 70 bleed control kits around Ipswich and the wider community.
