The world's last seagoing paddle steamer has returned to Suffolk.

Waverley, which finished its working life in 1974, docked at Ipswich Port on Friday night.

This comes after the 76-year-old boat departed from Ipswich for the first time in over two decades in 2023 as more than 500 passengers boarded the ship.

The operators of Waverley said the return tour came after "significant interest" in Suffolk.

Waverley arrived in Ipswich on Friday evening, after visiting the Port of Felixstowe and cruising down the River Orwell to Ipswich Dock.

The steamboat will head to Southwold for its coastal tour taking place from October 9 to 13.
