A woman has been handed a conditional discharge after stealing more than £400 worth of Lego.
Emma Tierney, of Tweed Close in Halstead, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on September 20.
Tierney, 45, was facing one charge of theft.
According to court documents, on July 6 Tierney had stolen £415 worth of Lego from a Sainsbury’s store in Ipswich, although exactly which store the charge sheet did not specify.
Tierney pleaded guilty to the theft and was handed a conditional discharge for 12 months.
It was not ordered that Tierney pay compensation, as the court document explained that the Lego had been recovered.
However, Tierney will have to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge towards victim services of £26, an amount totalling £111.
