A busy Ipswich road that is prone to flooding became submerged underwater once again due to a downpour of rain overnight.
Drivers were being warned that Sproughton Road, between Morrisons and the A14 roundabout in the west of the town, was starting to become flooded on Monday as a result of torrential downpours.
A deluge of rain fell in parts of Suffolk over Sunday night, leading to some disruption in the morning.
Motorists were reporting that Sproughton Road was passable at about midday but the water level was rising.
Sproughton Road regularly floods after periods of heavy rainfall, with the road being closed on a number of occasions in recent years due to standing water.
A particular hotspot for flooding in the area is the stretch of road that runs underneath the railway bridge - which can see standing water start to pool.
