Ed Sheeran visits Suffolk landmarks in video with Spotify

The video has been released in partnership with Spotify after the Suffolk musician recently reached 12 songs with more than a billion streams on the platform.

At the start of the video, Sheeran says "I loved growing up in Suffolk as a kid. You just sort of run wild," compounding the musician's passion for the county which he has shown throughout his career.

Sheeran then proceeds to take the audience on a journey through his favourite places in Suffolk.

He starts off at Thomas Mills High School, where the international star was educated, and where he recently visited to unveil the new recording studios built on the premises.

He then visited Framlingham Castle, which inspired his song Castle on the Hill and he says was a fun location to roll down as a child.

Sheeran says: "I wrote that song when I'd been in America for months and months and I missed normal British things, and it doesn't get much more British than that castle."

Moving on, Sheeran takes the Spotify team to Decoy Studios near Melton where he recorded many of his biggest hits - like The A Team.

Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop (Image: Charlotte Bond) The video comes to a close with Sheeran visiting Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop where he orders scampi, chips and a battered sausage. 

The fish shop was recently named among the best in the UK in the Love Food Guide.

Tucking into a battered sausage on Aldeburgh beach, Sheeran finished the video saying: "This is what England is about!"
