A town outside of Ipswich has been recognised for being active by Suffolk County Council.
Kesgrave was awarded Most Active Town in the Suffolk Community Awards on Tuesday, September 24.
A spokesperson for Kesgrave Town Council said: "It was wonderful for Kesgrave to win the award again.
"The town has a population of 15,000 and whilst it doesn't have a high street or waterfront, what does bring the town is together is sport and recreation which Kesgrave has in abundance,
"From parkrun, running club, football clubs, cycle, speedway, keep fit, dance, karate music groups and so much more.
"There really is something for everyone, from tots to seniors, morning until evening seven days a week, and what makes it all the more great is that so many of these groups and are run by volunteers."
"You only have to go to any of the halls to see the array of different on, you have the community centre, the millennium jubilee hall, the scout hall, there is activity in abundance.
"A lot of them free or almost free and we have that supported by the wonderful SPARK charity, with the money getting fed back into sports and recreation in the town."
The levels of activity are not exclusive amongst the adult population, however, as in 2022 Kesgrave High School was recognised by Active Transport England when it was revealed that nine out of ten students walk or cycle.
As well as this, British speedway racing champion Demi Blu Harris, from Kesgrave, held a fundraiser to raise money for spare parts and engines.
Plans were also submitted earlier this year for a new pump track in Kesgrave, allowing for a new space to be used by skateboards, BMX bikes and scooters.
