People across Suffolk have received scam text messages claiming they can claim Jobseekers Allowance.
Suffolk Trading Standards has issued a warning following multiple reports of residents receiving messages claiming to be from the government.
The text message says the recipient has 24 hours to provide personal details and bank account information in order to receive Jobseekers Allowance.
It comes after a warning was issued for a similar text message scam about parking fines.
A link in the message leads to a fake official government website complete with accurate logos, branding and font.

Recipients are also asked to respond to the text with a 'Y', exit the text message and open it again in order to activate the link.
A spokesman for Suffolk Trading Standards said: "These are scam text messages. Do not click the link."
Anyone who received a scam message can report it by forwarding the message to 7726 or by emailing a screenshot to the National Cyber Security Centre at report@phishing.gov.uk.
