A Suffolk mum-of-three has taken the leap launching her own Slimming World group after dropping 3.5 stone on the plan.

Charlotte Green is set to launch the new group at St Augustine’s Church in Bucklesham Road, Ipswich, on Monday September 23.

Ms Green restarted the Slimming World weight loss plan after having her second child when she was at her "largest weight" and wearing maternity clothes months down the line.

She said: "My energy was low, I was unhappy and this stopped me being the best mum I could be.

"I didn’t even have the confidence or energy to do normal activities like going to the park."

Re-joining for the third time, she said she was welcomed with "no judgement and certainly no humiliation".

She said: "Slimming World is the only weight loss company where I could enjoy the freedom of all my favourite foods without ever feeling hungry at the same time as feeding my whole family.

"Making other friends and having that weekly support was just what I needed with this busy life.

"I reached my target weight in just over nine months losing 3st 7lbs, to find out I was pregnant with my third," she added.

Ms Green stayed with the plan during her pregnancy, with Slimming World supported by the Royal College of Midwives to provide advice to expectant mums, and returned to her target weight within three months.

"Having the energy to keep up with my three young children has seriously changed my life," she said.

Ms Green will launch her own new Slimming World group at St Augustine's Church in the Lantern Room on Monday from 7pm.

Ipswich has several other Slimming World groups including ones at St Joseph's College, Pinewood Community Hall and Ipswich Rugby Club.
