This month marks the 18th anniversary of the Suffolk Wedding Show in Ipswich.

The show was established in 2006 when founder Melissa Dickinson was planning her own wedding and was disappointed with the limited number of local events.

“ I was so disappointed with the small local fairs that offered little variety, yet I did not want to travel to major city events because I wanted to support local wedding suppliers,” she recalls.

Despite many challenges, including the pandemic in 2020, which saw many wedding fairs close, and the closure of the show's longtime host venue, Wherstead Park, the event found a new home at Venue 16 in 2024 and continues to welcome brides of all ages.

Over the years, the show has partnered with many trusted local suppliers like Broomvale Bridal Barn and Emma’s Florist.

The next Suffolk Wedding Show will take place at Venue 16 on September 22 from 1030am to 3pm and will feature over 50 Suffolk wedding suppliers, live musicians, a café and bar, and plenty of wedding inspiration.
