A newsagents based in Ipswich town centre has applied to sell alcohol as an off-licence.
Coes Newsagents on Thoroughfare have submitted an application to Ipswich Borough Council to sell alcohol at their premises.
The owner of the shop, Shyam Anish Pradip Patel's application says that the sales will take place from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday.
Currently, the newsagents are open every day of the week from 7am to 7pm.
Along with selling magazines and newspapers, the store also operates as a convenience store with ice cream, drinks and food on sale.
They also have a newspaper delivery service available, which has been operational since they opened nearly 50 years ago.
The closing date for representations must be made by Thursday, October 10.
Coes Newsagents is the latest business in Ipswich to apply for an alcohol licence from the borough council.
Eagles Corner, a former American candy shop on Orwell Place, sought permission to sell alcohol last month, while a new Co-op in the railway station has recently received approval to do the same.
