A star of a hit ITV quiz show has been announced in the line-up for a comedy gig coming to Ipswich. 

The Best in Comedy is heading to the Big Top Theatre at Trinity Park in Ipswich for a Christmas special on Thursday, December 19. 

Four comedians will be headlining the event including Gary Delaney, Rachel Parris, Paul Sinha and Matt Richardson. 

Mr Sinha is best known for appearing on ITV quiz show The Chase as The Sinnerman, but took his first steps into the stand-up comedy circuit while studying medicine in the 1990s.

He has previously performed in the county and appeared at WCB Comedy's Spring Season in Woodbridge earlier this year.

The Big Top Theatre is constructed for the festive season and is fully heated. 

It includes free parking, a licenced bar and hot foods and snacks will be available. 

The Christmas Special will start at 7.30pm and is strictly for over 18s only. 

Tickets for the show are still available to purchase and cost £25.85 per person.
