An Ipswich couple who started a flourishing photography business after the loss of their son said that winning a national award “means everything to us”.
Brendan Taylor and Kaylie Bryant are the founders of Baby Art Studios. Now in its 13th year, the business specialises in maternity, newborn and family shots.
The importance of documenting these special moments is something that Mr Taylor and Ms Bryant understand only too well.
Their own baby son, Lewis, died in 2010. After losing Lewis, they decided to turn their grief into a powerful purpose: to help families across the country capture memories they themselves never got to create,
Baby Art Studios now has 11 studios spread across the UK.
Now, it has won the Best Marketing Campaign at the National Entrepreneur Awards, which were hosted by comedian and TV presenter Dara Ó Briain.
“Winning this award means everything to us,” said Mr Taylor. “It’s a reflection of how far we’ve come, and a reminder of why we started this journey in the first place.
“Every family we photograph helps us fulfil our mission of creating lasting memories – memories that are even more precious because we understand the value of time.”
He and Ms Bryant believe that their innovative marketing campaigns have helped them reach families from all walks of life.
“Our marketing efforts have never been just about making sales,” Mr Taylor continued.
“They’ve been about telling our story, connecting with families, and letting them know that we’re here to help capture the moments they’ll cherish forever. That’s what this award signifies to us.”
He added that this award is a “team effort”, and thanked everyone at Baby Art Studios for their hard work.
He added: “None of this would be possible without the families who trust us to capture their most cherished moments.”
