A collection of students from a high school in Ipswich are about to embark on the next chapter of their lives after all gaining places at the top two universities in the UK.
Six students who attended Northgate High School Sixth Form, in Sidegate Lane West, have gained places to either the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford this September.
The school said they are "exceptionally proud" of Owen, Hannah and Aaron, who are all going to Oxford and Ivan, Tilly and Evie, who will start at Cambridge this month.
Evie also achieved the highest mark in the UK for A Level law.
Four further students are also set to go on and study medicine at different universities around the country. These are Ashraf, Fardin, Shaun and Aisam.
Hannah, who will be taking up her place to study PPE at Oxford this October, said: “I am grateful for the teachers at Northgate who were constantly helpful, encouraging and went above and beyond to help me get into Oxford University, as well as making sure that all students could succeed."
Rowena Mackie, headteacher of Northgate High School, is incredibly proud of the achievements of students in the Sixth Form.
She said: "Students in the Sixth Form are able to select from a wide range of A Levels to engage more deeply in subject learning.
"It is a testament to the fantastic staff we have at Northgate who teach, guide and support our students, as well as our students’ own hardworking ethos, that they leave us equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to access a wide range of higher education courses or vocational pathways."
John Alexander, head of sixth form, added: "It is an exciting time for Northgate Sixth Form, and we are extraordinarily proud of our students' achievements."
