There were long delays on the A14 after a three-vehicle crash near Ipswich.
Police were called to the crash in the eastbound carriageway on the Orwell Bridge at about 8.45am on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said that recovery for one vehicle was needed.
National Highways were also called as there may be have been some damage to the central reservation.
No serious injuries were reported but according to the AA Traffic Map, there was long delays in the area.
It comes as one lane is closed on the westbound carriageway of the Orwell Bridge.
A lane of the westbound carriageway of the A14 bridge, was closed at about 9pm on Friday following an announcement by National Highways.
Now National Highways has said that the safety work being carried out by engineers will help prevent a full carriageway closure from being implemented.
