A “fabulous” night out in Ipswich saw crowds gather for a chance to meet Fabio Wardley and boxing legend Joe Egan.

Excited partygoers flocked to A-Listers at Aurora on Saturday for the latest “meet, greet and eat” event, organised by Lily Woo Entertainment owner Darren Summers and Mark Beadsworth, owner of Ipswich Alloy Wheels in Greenwich Close.

The duo had once again teamed up to bring two more celebrities to town, including one of Ipswich's most well known sporting talents.

Heavyweight boxer Fabio Wardley grew up in Ipswich. The 29-year-old currently holds the British, Commonwealth, WBA Continental and WBO European heavyweight titles.

Meanwhile, Irish former boxer Joe Egan has won the Irish Heavyweight Boxing championship four times, and known for having sparred with boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Ipswich businessmen Darren Summers and Mark Beadsworth have pooled their celebrity contacts to bring well-known names to Ipswich, to raise money for charity and also to offer a boost to our town.

Last month, they teamed up to bring author Carlton Leach to Arlingtons

Tickets for this event sold in a matter of weeks, with people arriving from Ipswich and further afield for the chance to meet Wardley and Egan, and to hear their stories.

Prizes were auctioned off for charity, with proceeds being donated to charities supporting children with arthritis.

This is a cause particularly close to Mr Beadsworth’s heart, as his daughter, Mia, suffers from the condition.

“Myself and Darren would like to thank everyone who turned up for their great support,” said Mr Beadsworth. “Hopefully, they will join us at some other events in the future.”

Mr Beadsworth also thanked their sponsors for their support, and A-Listers for throwing a “fabulous” evening.

The event was a collaborative effort between Lily Woo Entertainment and DB Fragrances.
